The 6 sloted machine crews are removed to reveal a diapham. The diaphame is held to a shaft by a pin which will fall out one you remove the spring tension. This is done by compressing the collar down (used the open end of a wrench) and the C clip can will slide out. The assembly can now be withdrawn from the housing and the small pin will simply fall out and the diaphram free. Liberal cleaning w/ carb cleaner brings it to like new :)
